Written by me; illustrated by Robert Dynamite, whom I was thrilled to get to work with because he actually knew me when I was this age and wouldn’t be polite about it. Originally published in the summer 2013 ‘TRUE CRIME’ issue of the tablet magazine Symbolia, with a special interactive feature that revealed the ‘blueprint’ background so the reader could track the characters’ paths through the stores.
Researching this one was equal parts digging for historic Walmart store layout documents and getting back in touch with a friend to apologize and to also ask for an interview.
